Why do clothing sizes differ between countries?

Clothing sizes are based on different measurement systems. The US uses numeric sizes (0, 2, 4…) for women; EU countries use chest/waist measurements in cm; UK and AU follow their own historic scales. Size charts can also vary between brands.

How do I find my EU shoe size?

EU shoe sizes are based on Paris points (⅔ cm increments). Add approximately 30–32 to a US women's size or 32–34 to a US men's size to get the EU equivalent. Always check a size chart as brands vary.

Are these size conversions exact?

These conversions follow standard international size charts, but individual brands may vary by 1–2 sizes. For best results, check the brand's own size guide and measure yourself in cm.
